We wanted to call it Chilli and Ginger because these two spices are widely used in Chinese and Peruvian cuisine. We wanted to combine the two spices as a way of representing the diversity of two cultures.
Our aims are:
to provide a central focus for friends and members of these communities as well as for anyone else interested in Peruvian and Chinese cultures, living in London, Lima or anywhere in the world.
to integrate both communities through sharing and learning information about each other, e.g. art, culture, history, customs, wisdom, experiences, interests, achievements and current events.
You may send your contributions to this site, in the form of articles, comments, pictures, links or anything you wish to share with us.
The site has been designed to be simple, friendly and interactive. It is a 'living' website because the content is updated regularly with the latest information.
ChilliAndGinger.com consists of up to 50 contacts including individuals and organisations, interested in receiving monthly updates and stay in touch with these communities.
ChilliAndGinger.com works on a voluntary basis and its work depends on your contributions. We welcome information from individuals and voluntary/non-profit organisations actively working with their communities and the environment.
