- In November 1993, Baila Peru donates £1,906.58 to Anita
Goulden Trust, in benefit of Children of Peru. Money collected through
private performances. (Noticiero Latinoamericano).
- In 1993, Bruno Giorgi, from Spectrum International Radio interviews a member of Baila Peru about the group.
- In 1993, Baila Peru features in the BBC TV programme ‘Under the Sun’.
- In 1994, a member of Baila Peru has the great honour to meet Pastorita Huaracina, Maria Alvarado Trujillo (Peruvian
folklore singer), as part of her visit to London. We accept gratefully
one of her garments.
- In 1994 & 2003, members of Baila Peru visit projects in
Peru supported by London-based fundraising group, where Baila Peru was also
actively involved.
- In February 1999, Baila Peru was officially acknowledged by
the General Consul of Peru in London, for contributing to the Peruvian
Ladies Association, in aid of children in Peru affected by El Niño in
1998.
- In June 2000, Baila Peru organises Noche Andina to celebrate Andean culture and el 'Dia del Campesino'.
- In 2003, Baila Peru meets Sr. Armando Lecaros de Cossio,
Ambassador of Peru in his residency for the Peruvian Independence Day
Party.
- In 2004, a member of Baila Peru delivers a presentation about Peruvian dances and culture at City Lit.
- In 2005, Baila Peru receives an award from the Peruvian
Ambassador in the UK, Sr. Luis Solari Tudela, for outstanding
contribution to Peruvian culture in the UK.
- In 2008, Baila Peru organises and cooperates with other local groups to represent Peru as part of London's Thames Festival.
- In 2009, Baila Peru features in Latin American newspapers: Expreso Latino, Express News and in South London Press. Also takes part in the first exhibition of 'History of Carnival del Pueblo'.
